Kathmandu . Nepal Mediciti has marked a historic milestone by becoming the first Nepali hospital to exhibit its healthcare services at an international medical tourism expo outside Nepal. The hospital is participating in the 9th International Health Tourism & Services Expo Bangladesh 2026 being held from May 7–9, 2026 at the International Convention City in Dhaka.
This expo brings together leading hospitals, healthcare providers, wellness centers, diagnostic institutions, and medical tourism facilitators from across Asia and beyond.
Hospitals and healthcare institutions from countries including China, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka are participating in the three-day expo, reflecting the growing regional importance of medical tourism and international healthcare collaboration.
Speaking on Nepal Mediciti’s participation, hospital CEO Dr Amit Tomer said that the event represents a major opportunity to position Nepal as an emerging destination for high-quality and affordable healthcare services in South Asia. The participation is also expected to strengthen Nepal’s visibility in the rapidly growing medical tourism sector.
