Kathmandu . GWM Nepal has officially launched the all-new ORA 5 EV in the Nepali market, marking another significant milestone in the brand’s global expansion strategy. The vehicle was unveiled at a special launch event held at The Plaza, Kathmandu, in the presence of representatives from GWM Global, GWM Nepal, media personnel, and automotive enthusiasts.
Following its successful introduction in China and Thailand, Nepal has been selected as one of the key international markets for the ORA 5 EV. Built around the philosophy of “Designed with Intelligence, Shaped by Elegance,” the premium electric SUV combines advanced technology, sophisticated styling, comprehensive safety features, and premium comfort, making it a strong contender in Nepal’s rapidly growing EV segment.
According to VG Impex Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of GWM vehicles in Nepal, the ORA 5 EV has been introduced with a focus on addressing the needs of modern Nepali consumers while adapting to local road conditions and mobility requirements. The company believes the vehicle will deliver a smarter, safer, and more sustainable driving experience.
The ORA 5 EV is available in two variants. Under the special introductory offer, the Mid Variant is priced at NPR 4.699 million, while the Top Variant is available at NPR 5.199 million.
One of the vehicle’s standout highlights is its impressive driving range of up to 520 kilometers on a single charge. The SUV also features 200 mm ground clearance, a panoramic sunroof, premium seating, a 360-degree surround-view camera, a 180-degree chassis-view camera, and self-healing paint technology, among several other premium features.
On the safety front, the ORA 5 EV has earned both 5-Star ANCAP and 5-Star Euro NCAP safety ratings. The vehicle comes equipped with more than 25 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Lane Keep Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Traffic Sign Recognition. Additionally, it offers 33 thoughtfully designed storage spaces, enhancing practicality for everyday use.
