Kathmandu . On the occasion of International Wellness Day, Nepal Mediciti Hospital organized a free health camp as part of its commitment to promoting preventive healthcare within the community. The initiative was aimed at raising health awareness and encouraging early detection through preventive measures.
A Health Screening Desk was set up within the hospital premises, where patients, attendants, and visitors were provided with basic health check-ups, including height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, and blood glucose testing.
This marks the first International Wellness Day declared by the United Nations following Nepal’s proposal. Through this initiative, awareness regarding the importance of timely health check-ups and preventive care has been significantly enhanced within the community. The program was conducted under Nepal Mediciti’s ongoing Neighbourhood Connect Campaign, which focuses on expanding access to preventive healthcare services.
Nepal Mediciti has been organizing health camps across various locations in Nepal. In collaboration with different organizations, it has also been conducting awareness programs on various diseases.
Additionally, Nepal Mediciti has introduced special “Preventive Health Packages” targeting the New Year 2083. These packages include essential laboratory tests, cardiac and respiratory evaluations, and physician consultations, and are being offered at discounted rates for a limited period.
With the message, “Today’s Prevention, Tomorrow’s Prosperity,” Nepal Mediciti continues to inspire the community to prioritize timely health check-ups and adopt healthier lifestyles.
