E-commerce platform Chynabazar launched: Direct access from manufacturers to consumers with Experience Stores

KATHMANDU. The new e-commerce platform Chynabazar has officially launched .

In Nepal, imported goods typically reach consumers through multiple layers of the supply chain, including importers, wholesalers, and distributors. This often leads to higher prices and uncertainty in product supply.

According to Chynabazar Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Stutee Shrestha, Chynabazar has been established to provide consumers with a more convenient and affordable shopping experience.

The core concept behind Chynabazar is to enable Nepali consumers to purchase quality products at fair and transparent prices by eliminating unnecessary intermediaries and additional markups between the factory and their homes. Shrestha said the company directly selects and procures products from manufacturers in China, imports them through its own logistics network, stores them in its own warehouses, and delivers them to customers through its own distribution system.

“Because the entire process, from sourcing and importing to warehousing and distribution, is managed under a single system, delivery times are significantly reduced while pricing remains transparent and competitive,” she added.

Under the slogan ‘Enjoy Your Shopping,’ Chynabazar will initially offer electronics, fashion, lifestyle products, and health and beauty items. Shrestha said the company plans to gradually expand its product range in the coming months.

“As Nepal’s digital economy continues to grow,” Shrestha expressed confidence that Chynabazar will quickly earn the trust of consumers.

“In addition, Chynabazar will continue expanding its product portfolio and establish a nationwide network of offline retail experience stores in the coming years,” she added.

With the objective of creating a direct commercial link between Chinese manufacturers and Nepali consumers, Chynabazar also opened its first Experience Store on Wednesday in the Guna Complex premises.

The Experience Store is an offline retail outlet where customers can physically view and experience products before making a purchase. The company plans to gradually expand this concept to major cities across Nepal. In the first phase, it aims to open Experience Stores in Birgunj and Bhairahawa soon.

Customers will be able to make digital payments through eSewa and Khalti, the company informed.
