Kathmandu. Considering the recent climate instability and potential risks brought by the monsoon season, NMB Bank, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, handed over a 16-foot self-bailing raft, life jackets, and other related disaster rescue equipment to the Nepal Police. The handover ceremony was held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Rani Pokhari, Kathmandu.
At the event, Mr. Govinda Ghimire, Chief Executive Officer of NMB Bank handed over the rescue equipment to Additional Inspector General of Nepal Police (AIG) Mr. Tek Bahadur Tamang.
Given the high likelihood of floods, inundation, and other water-related disasters and emergencies during the monsoon season, the bank believes that this support will significantly enhance the operational capacity of the police force.
