Kathmandu. KAPA Events, much-anticipated Shrawan Mela 2083 opened its doors today at Heritage Garden, Sanepa, welcoming more than 4,000 visitors on its first day and setting the tone for a two-day celebration of Shrawan’s culture, colour, and community spirit.
The day began on an energetic note with the Shrawan Run, organized in collaboration with Artha Run Club, which saw enthusiastic participation from nearly 1,300 runners. The run set the pace for a day filled with festivity, tradition, and togetherness.
The mela was formally inaugurated by Chief Guest Zenisha Moktan, marking the official start of the festivities. The event was hosted by Khusboo Pradhan, whose engaging anchoring kept the energy high throughout the day.
Visitors explored more than 70 stalls offering jewellery, textiles, crafts, and traditional Nepali food and sweets, immersing themselves in the true essence of Shrawan. The festive atmosphere was elevated by a decorated Mehendi Booth by Sujataz Mehendi, where skilled artists painted the hands of over 1,000 visitors, alongside beautifully decorated photo booths that became a favourite spot for memory-making.
Entertainment ran throughout the day, with a live music performance by The Basement and a soulful Bhajan concert led by The Adapters Nepal, drawing crowds to sing, sway, and celebrate together. Visitors also enjoyed fun games, gift hampers, and an open dance floor, adding to the day’s vibrant, feel-good energy.
With Day 1 setting an exceptional benchmark, Classics Projects looks forward to welcoming even more visitors on Day 2 of Shrawan Mela 2083 at Heritage Garden, Sanepa.
