Kathmandu. The formal inauguration ceremony of Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank’s Digital Hub with Coffee Lounge, located in Kathmandu District, KMC, Ward No. 30, Gyaneshwor, was held today, on 2083/03/26. During the event, Mr. Rajesh Upadhyaya, Chairman of the Bank’s Board of Directors, inaugurated the office building, Digital Hub with Coffee Lounge. The inauguration program was attended by members of the Bank’s Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer, Senior Management officials and Bank staffs.
The new facility offers a comfortable, café-style setting for cash deposits, withdrawals, cheque clearing and other digital banking services. The Coffee Lounge facility is part of the Bank’s ongoing efforts to modernize its digital banking services and make them more secure, technologically advanced and customer-friendly. It represents the latest innovation in banking service delivery, allowing customers to deposit and withdraw cash, process cheque clearing and complete other electronic transactions in a relaxed ambience. Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank is believed to be the first bank in Nepal to offer this type of service with coffee lounge.
The Digital Hub was launched to promote digital adoption among younger customers and broaden the Bank’s reach. Beyond routine transactions, it will offer guidance on digital banking services, establishing itself as a resource for customer learning and engagement.
In line with the concept of Nepal Rastra Bank’s Regulatory Sandbox, the Bank aims to foster innovation in financial services and extend new offerings to its customers in the future.
