Yamaha Commemorates 71 years of Excellence with Nationwide Community Celebrations

Kathmandu, Nepal . Yamaha Motor Co. celebrates Yamaha Day on July 1st each year. Yamaha’s legacy in engineering, motorsports, and its journey to mobility is honoured on this day. This year, as Yamaha marked its 71st anniversary, Yamaha Nepal celebrated this day with a series of celebrations spanning across all the seven provinces of Nepal, bringing together customers, staff, dealers, and the wider community in a tribute to seven decades of trust, performance, and innovation.

The festivities commenced with inauguration and cake-cutting ceremonies held simultaneously at Yamaha Nepal showrooms – dealership locations, and company operated outlets nationwide. Continuing the celebrations, Yamaha Nepal took a moment to honour and felicitate its staff members who have dedicated 20 years of service to the company, recognizing their loyalty and contributions to the brand’s success. More than 100 dealers across Nepal witnessed and joined the ceremony digitally. The digital presence of Yamaha Motors India team made the celebration even more wonderful.

Yamaha extended the anniversary spirit to its customers through a tiered set of offers and discounts. Every customer received a 25% discount on labour charges at service centers nationwide. Building on this, Yamaha ran a “7 Province, 7 Customers” campaign, rewarding one lucky customer from each of seven provinces with 100% cashback on service. Adding a sweet touch, customers taking deliveries on July 1 were presented with customized anniversary chocolates as a token of appreciation.

Yamaha has always believed that the most meaningful journeys are the ones that are taken for others. In the spirit of service and a way to give back to the society, Yamaha chose to mark its anniversary with a purpose by hosting blood donation camps across the nation. The camps were set up at Dhangadi in Sudurpaschim, Pokhara in Gandaki, Naxal and Gatthaghar in Bagmati, Bharatpur in Narayani, Bardibas in Janakpur, and Itahari in Koshi. The camps recorded approximately 350 units of blood donated across 7 showrooms in major cities of Nepal. Similarly, to promote sustainability, a tree plantation program was also organized by Yamaha Nepal at its plant in Biratnagar.

Yamaha Parsa as well joined the ‘Yamaha Day’ CSR celebration in a grand style. Yamaha Parsa officially undertook the educational responsibility of 7 underprivileged children from grade Nursery to grade 7 of Shree Dharmeshwor Adharbhoot School in Khairahani and committed to sponsor their education till Class 12, as well as provide them with necessary educational materials. Likewise, as a way to appreciate its long standing customers who have continuously ridden Yamaha vehicles from 16 to 40 years, 6 customers were honored with certificates of appreciation. 5 riders who have covered a long distance of up to 1 lakh KM to 2 lakh KM on Yamaha motorcycles were also honored in the event. On the same occasion, an entrepreneur who pioneered the pre-owned vehicle business in Eastern Chitwan, along with three mechanics who have been continuously active in the trade for the past 32 years, were also honored in recognition of their tireless contributions.

Mr. Vishnu Agarwal, Chairman of MAW Rides Pvt. To our dealers, who have stood with us through every road and every season for 71 years, we owe our deepest gratitude. From traffic awareness drives to charity, blood donation camps to tree plantations, what we do today reflects what Yamaha has always stood for, a brand that moves with its community.”

The commitment became a tangible reality as Yamaha Nepal volunteered to assist the Kathmandu Police in traffic management during peak traffic hours spreading on-road traffic safety awareness. Furthermore, the company’s legacy riding community, BlueStreaks held a charity ride to an orphanage – Mountain Children’s Home located in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu where they distributed books and stationery items, reinforcing its commitment to give back to the society.

On the occasion of 71 years of legacy, the Yamaha’s brand ambassador in Nepal, Mr. Anoop Bikram Shahi also took a moment to wish the Yamaha Family, celebrating the bond between the brand and its riders. Adding an international dimension to the celebrations, Global Chairman Sitara San and Japan delegates also extended their wishes on Yamaha Nepal’s 71 years of remarkable milestone, recalling the enduring legacy Yamaha has built.
