Kathmandu, Nepal. inDrive, a global mobility and delivery platform, has taken a significant step toward safer mobility with the launch of its Safe Driving Online Course in Nepal. The course is a structured training programme that is also mobile-friendly, designed to equip driver partners with the knowledge and confidence they need to navigate the road and every ride safely.

The safe driving online course is already live, with many drivers having completed it, and now aims to reach more than 1 lakh inDrive drivers of Nepal.

A Course Built for Drivers, Delivered on Their Terms

Recognising that driver partners are constantly on the move, inDrive Nepal has designed the course to be short, practical, and accessible, complete in just 20 minutes.

The safe driving online course is structured into three comprehensive courses:

● Course A – On-Platform Safety and Professional Boundaries: This course is designed on how drivers can maintain safe, respectful interactions with passengers within the platform environment, including how to set and uphold professional limits during rides.

● Course B – Road Safety Essentials for Ride-Hailing: This course is designed and focused on practical road safety knowledge tailored to the realities of ride-hailing, from defensive driving habits to situational awareness in high-traffic or unfamiliar environments.

● Course C – Emergencies, Reporting & SOS Use: This course is designed to prepare drivers to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, including how to use the in-app SOS feature and the correct channels for reporting incidents.

Each module pairs a five-minute instructional video with five comprehension questions, keeping learning focused and digestible. Drivers must answer at least 80% of questions correctly across all modules to earn their safe driving online course completion certificate. Those who do not pass on their first attempt can retake the quiz without restriction.

At inDrive, the safety of driver partners and passengers is not an afterthought, it is a cornerstone of the platform’s operating values. This course reflects a direct commitment to driver wellbeing by ensuring that every driver on the platform has access to practical, evidence-informed safety training for the safety of both drivers and passengers.

“We want our drivers to feel confident, prepared, and supported, not just on the app, but in every situation they might face on the road,” said Sunita Jeemi Rai, Senior Driver Operations Specialists at inDrive Nepal. “This course is about more than compliance. It’s about giving our driver partners real tools they can use for the safety of both drivers and passengers .”

The initiative is designed to strengthen personal safety awareness, sharpen risk management skills, and build driver confidence in handling difficult or confrontational situations, all outcomes that ultimately benefit passengers and communities as well.

As a platform focused on fair and people-first mobility, inDrive believes that safety and trust go together. This driver training online course reflects inDrive’s commitment to both, starting even before a ride begins.
