Kathmandu .Premier International IB Continuum School delivered a historic performance at the World Scholar’s Cup Kathmandu Regional Round 2026, claiming the competition’s highest individual honor – Jac Khor Award, the top team title – Overall Champion Team, and an exceptional 700 medals & 18 trophies tally. Shruti Shrestha (IBDP 1) won the prestigious Jac Khor Award, marking a legendary fourth consecutive Jac Khor Award win. Shruti had previously earned the title at the Kathmandu Regional Round 2025, the Bangkok Global Round 2025, and the Tournament of Champions at Yale University, USA, in 2025.
Premier also secured the Overall Champion Team title through the combined excellence of Rishit Mainali, Drishya Ratna Shakya, and Nripsha Karki. Rishit earned 9 Gold medals, 9 Silver medals, and 4 trophies, Drishya achieved 8 Gold and 8 Silver medals, and Nripsha secured 12 Gold medals, 3 Silver medals, and 1 trophy, making them the highest-scoring team of the entire competition.
Premier recorded an extraordinary total of 718 awards, including 313 Gold medals, 387 Silver medals, and 18 trophies, marking one of the strongest showings in the tournament’s history. With both the top individual and top team honors claimed by Premier, the school delivered one of the most dominant performances ever seen at the Kathmandu Regional Round.
Premier’s dominance was further highlighted by two additional top-performing senior teams. The first team led by 4-time Jac Khor Award winner Shruti Shrestha, along with Aarav Krishna Shrestha and Rayya Koirala, earned a combined 22 Gold medals, 12 Silver medals, and 5 trophies. The third team featuring Tenzing Dawoe Lama, Hriddhima Agarwal, and Aarjal Adhikari secured 17 Gold medals, 6 Silver medals, and 3 trophies.
