Kathmandu, Nepal . The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) officially extended a formal farewell today to the Nepalese delegation participating in FITUR 2026 (Feria Internacional de Turismo) at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu. FITUR is recognized as one of the world’s leading international tourism trade fairs and serves as a strategic global platform for destination promotion, business networking, and tourism market expansion.
For FITUR 2026, Nepal is being represented by 30 tour and travel companies, with the participation of more than 50 tourism professionals and business representatives, demonstrating a strong collective presence of Nepal’s private tourism sector in the European and international markets. The delegation is departing for Madrid, Spain, in phases, with several participants having already completed their travel, while the remaining representatives are scheduled to depart on various international flights starting from tomorrow.
The overall coordination and leadership of Nepal’s participation at FITUR 2026, organized by NATTA in joint collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board, has been entrusted to Mr. Krishna Prasad Dhakal, Executive Board Member of NATTA, who is serving as the coordinator, while Mr. Krishna Prasad Dhakal, also an Executive Board Member of NATTA, is supporting the delegation as Sub-Coordinator.
On the formal farewell occasion, NATTA President Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya, Vice President Mr. Ghanshyam Ghimire, General Secretary Ms. Yuvika Bhandari, Treasurer Mr. Suresh Amgai, Joint Treasurer Mr. Dhak Nath Kafle, and the Executive Chief of NATTA collectively extended their sincere best wishes to all participating companies and delegates for a successful, impactful, and result-oriented participation aimed at effectively promoting Nepal in the international tourism market with high morale and professional commitment. Durin the farewell, strong emphasis was placed on the critical importance of mutual coordination, professional conduct, responsible behavior, and collective branding in ensuring Nepal’s effective representation and promotion at the international tourism platform.
NATTA expressed strong confidence that Nepal’s participation in FITUR 2026 will contribute significantly to enhancing the country’s international tourism image, generating new business opportunities, and strengthening Nepal’s presence in the European tourism market. The Association reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating international exposure for its member companies and to supporting strategic tourism promotion initiatives through global trade fairs.
FITUR 2026 is anticipated to provide an important platform for showcasing Nepal’s diverse tourism products, including adventure tourism, cultural and heritage tourism, nature-based experiences, spiritual tourism, and sustainable travel offerings, thereby reinforcing Nepal’s position as a unique and competitive
