KATHMANDU.Tele Digital Services Pvt. Ltd. (a Ramesh Corp. entity), with participation with Meta, today hosted a landmark event, ‘The Converference’. The landmark industry programme brought together corporate leaders, brand marketers, and digital decision-makers from across Nepal Corporate Sectors to explore the future of business communication through the WhatsApp Business API.
The event marked a significant milestone for Nepal’s digital landscape, featuring a keynote address by Mr. Albert Tiong, Regional Partnership Manager, APAC at Meta, to address the gathering. Mr. Tiong’s presence underscored Meta’s recognition of Nepal as an emerging and strategically important market for conversational commerce.
THE CONVERFERENCE brought together executives from some of Nepal’s most recognised companies to explore how WhatsApp Business API can transform customer service, lead generation, sales conversion, retention, and personalised communication at scale. The programme highlighted global business messaging trends and shared platform insights on the rapid growth of conversational commerce worldwide including the fact that over one billion people connect with businesses across Meta’s messaging platforms every week.
With WhatsApp already deeply embedded in how Nepalis communicate, the programme spotlighted the opportunity for Nepali businesses to adopt more direct, trusted, and measurable forms of customer engagement moving beyond traditional channels such as SMS and email.
